The breakfast was good but there is NO air conditioning in the room. It was so hot that I could not get sleep. But even more annoying: There were 5 houseflies in my room! They interrupted my peace - I will never forget this bad experience. I will not come back.

Awful. Restaurant service was as poor S you will get. dessert on menu limited to ice cream. Menu showed no imagination in offerings. On checkout they tried to add an extra room and breakfasts we had not had. When we complained the reception guy blamed us! Avoid this place. It professes to be luxury. Thus is based on being luxury in a part of Germany bereft of quality accommodation. We first visited here 9 years ago. It was good then. Clearly, line much in Germany they have no idea of Service. Next time we will stay in Holland.

The staff here are nice, and the venue is lovely, but unfortunately the food is pretty bad. Bruschetta was a few bits of thick doughy bread, with basically just cold tinned chopped tomatoes on top, with some parmesan flakes. It was pretty horrible actually. I ordered a special, which was a fish burger (but supposedly a salmon in home made beer batter, chefs special kinda thing), and what I got was a frozen oven bake fish in batter (which had been deep fried) and some greasy fries which had obviously been deep fried and refried god knows how many times. I couldn't finish either. My wifes pasta was like hard dried string. Sorry guys...you are great front of house, but you definitely do not have a qualified chef in the kitchen. The food is absolutely awful. Very bad pub grub...at a push.

This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings in a lovely area. Unfortunately we arrived on a Saturday and discovered this area is exceptionally popular with walkers/cyclists and day trippers. We eventually managed to find a parking space as a couple let us know they were about to leave. We were only staying one night and found our room (a disabled room) to be spacious and comfortable. There were so many people we were unable to get a table in the restaurant but did manage to get a meal in the outside restaurant. The meal wasn't great but adequate. Lovely waitress. Breakfast buffet, one girl clearing tables and replenishing the buffet. If staying again we would make sure it was not at the weekend.

Not a 4 stars hotel, very tiny room with single bed looks like student room! Some complimentary stuffs on the bathroom, but not checked and some where empty… Some holes and even some body hairs… ugly. The surrounding is very nice and the restaurant also, but skip the hotel.

Ongelooflijk ,een 4 sterrenhotel zonder airco op de kamer, Zelfs geen ventilator. Ook geen horren in de ramen.dus die konden niet open vanwege de vele muggen daar in dat warerijke gebied. Wat hebben we liggen zweten en zoemende muggen om ons heen gehoord. alleen om die reden komen we hier niet meer terug. Verder is alles top.

Il y a un grand parking et l’hôtel est situé dans un endroit assez remarquable. Vous êtes en pleine nature mais en même temps très proche d’un site industriel et à coté un camping. Ceci dit cela n’a été en rien problématique. Il faut cependant un moyen de transport. Des minis croisières sont possibles, les pontons sont en face de l’hôtel, renseignez vous… L’accueil est souriant et le check in et out rapides. L’hôtel et les chambres sont un rien vieillottes mais c’est assez propre et la vue sur le fleuve est magnifique. La chambre était spacieuse, la salle de bain l’est moins. Il y a beaucoup de mobilier de rangement et des fauteuils pour les 2 personnes. Il n'y a pas de mini frigo, ni de climatisation. Le gros point négatif est la literie, c’est vieux et dépassé, nous sentions les ressorts d’un des matelas ! La petite piscine est à bonne température et suffisamment profonde pour pouvoir réaliser quelques longueurs. Le petit déjeuner est par contre le point fort, vous avez des œufs du bacon, de la charcuterie des produits laitiers, du froid du chaud, des céréales… Le rapport qualité prix est remarquable pour un déjeuner à 6€. Donc voila en conclusion il a de très bon points positifs mais gâché surtout par la literie…

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber für eine Radtour am Dortmund-Ems-Kanal super gelegen. Die Einzelzimmer waren recht gut ausgestattet, einzig das Bad war recht zierlich und nicht zeitgemäß. Gute Möglichkeit, die Räder über nach in eine Tiefgarage abzustellen. Das Restaurant „Ems-Island“ ist durchaus eine Empfehlung, auch wenn das Personal gelegentlich auf fehlende Bestellungen hingewiesen werden musste.

Mooie plek voor een hotel. we hadden meermaals een uitstekende massage in de EmsSpa. echt een aanrader en een rede om er nog eens langs te gaan. Het restaurant was prima met lokale gerechten op de kaart.
